Beef Moghagal
The first time I had this dish was at an Arabic Restaurant – Saba in Cyberjaya. Being a meat lover, I fall in love at the first taste. Since then, this is a must order dish whenever we went there. But, it’s not really convenient for us to go there every time we feel like eating it. So I googled for the recipe but there’s none. And so, when I met an Iranian guy in my class, I asked him to ask his mother the recipe – Beef Moghagal. I was surprised that this dish is very simple to prepare. Thank you Mohammad! And here, I share it with my good readers J

Ingredients:
Beef – you can use chicken or mutton too (thinly sliced )
Potatoes
Tomatoes
Bell peppers (Mohammad didn’t mention bell pepper.. only chillies ;))
Onions
Tomato Ketchup
... and the usual – salt and sugar and some oil .

Directions :
Dice the potatoes and deep fry them. Put aside.
Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat, put in the beef. You might need to adjust the heat to achieve the desired texture.
When done, put in diced onions and stir.
Add the potato, sprinkle two pinches of salt over and stir.
Pour in the tomato ketchup – about a tablespoon or two .. depends on your beef quantity.
Stir and put in diced tomatoes and bell peppers – i love to use colourful bell peppers. They make the dish merrier J. Psssstttt ... Asian guys .. if you love it hot .. you can put in diced “cili api” too.
Mix well and taste it. You might want to add some more salt and a little bit of sugar.
Ready to be served with any favourite bread and rice ..
It’s easy eh? Why don’t you give it a try and let us know how do you like it. All the best and thank you
