Butter Broccoli

Salam Ramadan good readers. How's your fasting ibadah? Alhamdulillah we are in the third day now. May we be given the strength and sabr to continue until the end.

Here, we want to share a very simple yet delicious and nutritious dish - Buttered Broccoli. Broccoli is said to be a very good source of dietary fiber, pantothenic acid, vitamin B6, vitamin E, manganese, phosphorus, choline, vitamin B1, vitamin A (in the form of carotenoids), potassium, and copper. Broccoli is also a good source of vitamin B1, magnesium, omega-3 fatty acids, protein, zinc, calcium, iron, niacin, and selenium. (Source : www.whfoods.com)

Without further ado,

INGREDIENTS

A bunch of broccoli (or more... up to you), cut into small pieces, stalks peeled and sliced according to your liking; bulky or thinly

2 tablespoons of unsalted butter - more ifyou use more broccoli or less if you don't like it greasy

a pinch of salt

DIRECTION

In boiling water, cook the broccoli until crisp-tender, 2 to 4 minutes. Drain.

Add in the butter and coat them well, 1 to 2 minutes.

Toss with the salt serve.

Note:

You might want to sprinkle some pepper or to saute some garlic in the butter before tossing the broccoli in but our family like it simple like this. :)

Give it a try and do tell us how do you like it . All the best!

Thank you
